My 12th Birthday

On the holidays I turned 12. My sister Katherine made my cake, it was two seperate cakes – one in the shape of a “1” and the other a “2.” I got lots of books, clothes and heaps of other stuff. I was also meant to get my ears pierced but I had to go to Melbourne with my sisters so that hasn’t happened yet. Β

Canberra Camp!

Last week grade 6 went to Canberra Camp! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! In my cabin there was Tiana, Emi, Athaw, Alat and Ella. We did heaps of cool things like going to Parliament House, the AIS, the National Zoo, the National Museum, Questacon and heaps of other things. Each night we went to a different place for fun. We went to the AIS, Mount Ainslee, rock climbing, we had a pizza party and we went on the aqua run. My favourite parts of Camp was the Australian War Memorial, the aqua run and the Vertical Slide at Questacon. I went on the Vertical Slide twice and it was so much fun! On my first go the lady said “3, 2, 1 go.” But I didn’t move, eventually I dropped and it was AWESOME!!

Lorin’s Inspiration.

Today we had a motivational speaker called Lorin come to speak to us about being leaders. Lorin is legally blind with only 5% vision. He played his guitar andΒ told us stories about being a kid who is blind. It was really interesting and after lunch we have workshops with him! I can’t wait!Β πŸ˜€ I really want to ask him whether he has a guide dog or not. Bye!! πŸ˜€Β

This will probably be the last post I do so… In this post I’m including all the stuff we did this year:

Earn and Learn, Angahook Camp, Oakes Day, watching ‘Goosebumps’ for our break up, all the swimming days at Tatura Pool, at least 45 spelling tests (I’m not even joking.) Then the endless maths lessons, reading, writing, art, P.E and everything else. We have all made new friends and it’s been really fun some people who are now my friends are Athaw, Emma and Brodie. Anyway that’s grade 5 2015 in a bombshell. Byeee… πŸ˜€ We also found out our grade 6 teachers I’m in Mr. Burness’ class with Emi, I’m not with all of my friends but who cares? πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ BYEEE!! The Christmas Service!! :D

Earlier today we had the Christmas Service, we caught a bus down to Wesley Church. We sung heaps of Christmas Carols including ‘Imagine’ and ‘Deck The Sheds With Bits Of Wattle.’ It was really fun and then Mrs. Park read the book that I wrote for my inquiry, which was a little embarrassing because everyone was looking at me. These are photos of us waiting for the bus and Mrs. Park reading my book. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€Β IMG_7499 IMG_7515
